Tandem Structural Engineer Position Tandem is recruiting for aFULL-TIME POSITIONas aSTRUCTURAL ENGINEERwith a minimum of 5 years’ experience to support our clients' projects in ourWINDSOR, ONORDETROIT, MI LOCATION .APPLY NOW–Tandem CareersRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, emphasis on structuresProfessional Engineer License in Ontario, in Michigan or eligible to obtain within a year is required (P.E./P.Eng)5 years of practical experienceExperience in the automotive industryAdvanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software including Project AutoCAD requiredProficiency in one of the following software:Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis ProfessionalAutodesk Advance Steel detailingSAP 2000Familiar with Canadian and American Structural Engineering design standards and codesExperience in structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structuresExperience with Automotive and conveyor structural design projectsProficiency in Microsoft SuiteHighly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projectsAbility to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalitiesMust be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and fluctuating schedulesMust have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to speak multiple languages is considered an assetNecessary Requirements for Applicants:Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving recordMust be able to obtain work permit in CanadaBe willing and able to cross the border, for required support of our US or Canadian customersResponsibilities and Duties: The Structural Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to the following:Analyze and prepare structural reportsRead and understand structural drawingsTechnically competent to perform hand calculations based on American and Canadian Standards of codesAble to use design software and drawings toolsMinimal travel to job sites to collect and survey existing conditionsInspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications drawingPerform site visits and attend meetings with contractors and clientsPerform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structuresAbility to autonomously take a task with minimal directions and ensure successful completionAbility to sketch structure details and sectionsFamiliar with industrial applications with emphasis on automotive and conveyor structural engineering experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
