Opportunity: One of our Architecture and Planning client based out in Whitby, ON is looking for a "Structural Engineer" for a fulltime opportunity. Job Details: Position: Structural Engineer Client: Architecture and Planning Client Location: Whitby, ON Position Type: Fulltime Job details: We seek a proactive Structural Engineer/Technologist with 5 years of experience managing projects in municipal buildings, universities, and schools. The ideal candidate will oversee projects from start to finish, enhancing public infrastructure and educational facilities in the Durham Region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in structural engineering, demonstrating a strong track record of project ownership and successful delivery. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Candidates must have a Professional Engineer (PEng) designation in Ontario or be eligible for licensure. Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and AutoCAD/Revit is essential. A strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., OBC, NBC, CSA standards) is required. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines is crucial.
