* Flex -- in Montreal office 2 days per week
* 35 hours per week
* 15-20% travel time, within North America

* SAP & PowerBI experience required

Titre Réel: Category Specialist, Process Chemicals

Role Purpose: Provides support to the Strategic Sourcing Manager on strategic sourcing projects which contribute to the delivery of commercially favourable contracts and deliver optimal value to the Business Unit.

Key Accountabilities:
-Collects and generates domain knowledge and market analysis regarding the sources and drivers of value creation through purchasing.
-Ensures sound category management processes are followed, project implementation methodologies are deployed and implementation is completed in accordance with Clients process, documentation and governance requirements. This will include processes such as negotiation, risk mitigation, change management and innovation.
-Conducts and implements contract management (e.g.: contract execution, implementation, supplier reviews) for assigned contracts or arising from sourcing projects previously executed.
Implements and present category strategies to Senior leaders for endorsement.

"The Procurement Specialist will be responsible to support the Category Manager in the development of category strategies and to execute the sourcing plan outlined in the strategy. Main activities include regular reviews with key internal stakeholders, updates and adjustments to the Category Strategy and Sourcing Plan, contract drafting and execution, commercial negotiations, supplier relationship management and supply chain management.

-This role is a great opportunity for a Procurement Specialist professional to develop and execute regional sourcing projects which contribute to the delivery of commercially favourable outcomes and optimal value to the Business Unit."

-Own the development and implementation of a comprehensive Category Management strategy and the development of Supply Agreements to minimize total cost of ownership and maximize value that will drive competitive advantage and meet governance requirements
-Execute Commercial Strategies and Sourcing plans. This will include leading key or complex sourcing projects/negotiations and ongoing management of contracts and supplier relationships
-Supporting the category specialist with mainly data-driven requests (reports), Power BI and data analysis, troubleshooting supplier concerns, bidding events, updating price agreements. Other: spend data, market research, supplier information, contract requirements.
-Support the category strategy development and identify new opportunities for savings and improvements on total cost of ownership.
-Consolidate internal customers' demand requirements and consumption trends that will be the basis for category strategy development and related sourcing programs
-Develop a rigorous fact base analysis to capture external market dynamics that will be the basis of the category strategy and sourcing program, specifically through in-depth market analysis
-Be responsible for building the supplier negotiation plans for approval and be able to support and lead during negotiations
-Drive productivity projects in conjunction with the key stakeholders and suppliers
-Ensure all projects are delivered using Ariba and other software platform to ensure they meet the requirements outlined in Procurement and Group Policies, Standards and Guidelines
-Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports required by internal stakeholders
