About the team + role
Our team's mission is to make Robinhood the best place to invest in equities. This includes building outstanding tools for managing your portfolio, researching investments, placing trades, and more, all while delivering the safest and most accessible investing experience possible.
We are looking for a Staff Software Developer to own and evolve the domain of managing your Portfolio. This area includes powering the front page of the app which is the most visited surface within Robinhood.
What you’ll do
- Define the long term architecture of the Portfolio service focusing on scalability and simplifying business logic
- Lead cross functional collaboration across product and many engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and help shape the engineering culture of the organization
What you bring
- Proven track record in owning and evolving large backend systems by setting vision and successfully executing with a team to achieve it
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to drive long term technical direction
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Leadership qualities to enhance the engineering culture of the team and organization
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
