Our client, a boutique accounting firm located in Markham, is looking to add a driven Staff Accountant to their team! This firm is recognized for providing high-value accounting and tax services to owner/managed businesses, and providing work- life balance to their employees. As a Staff Accountant, you will be mentored by the management team (which includes the Partners) to become the best accountant and professional you can be.You will grow personally and professionally as you take responsibility for the preparation of:Client year-end files including compilations and review engagements Financial statements Personal, corporate and trust tax returns Corporate restructuring projects Succession and estate planning projects And you will be:Managing client deadlines Developing a relationship with clients Provided with professional development, both internal and external Working on some interesting projects helping clients with their financial affairs Working on special projects such as implementing new software, providing input on the firm’s procedures and policies, participating in staff meetings … yes, your opinion matters!
