Position Summary
This SRE Cloud Network Engineer role is responsible for the multi Cloud network design, implementation standards and strategy for NCR Digital First Banking’s Cloud SaaS offerings. The position requires a strong understanding of and practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, Network automation in the cloud using Terraform, Cloud networking design patterns including B2B, hybrid cloud, network security and all associated best practices with network design. Experience in running applications/services in the Cloud and associated processes and automation is required to be successful in this role.
This position reports to the Manager, SRE Ops for Digital First Banking, and works with Software Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Platform Architecture and the SRE Observability Engineers to ensure collaboration across all teams is facilitated.
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of cloud network and security technologies, a background in ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Monitoring) both in theory and in practice. The candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge of key processes and tools associated with network automation and production support technologies.
Position responsibilities:
This position works closely with NCR’s Global – SRE team within NCR Chief Technology Office
that guide the overall SRE strategy and direction for NCR.
