Who We AreONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) was chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to enter the Development Phase of the On-Corridor Works project – the largest project in Metrolinx’s GO Expansion. Unprecedented in its scale and complexity, this multi-billion dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.AccountabilityEffective planning and forecasting of all needed staff, tools, contracting support, spare parts.Effective elaborating and forecasting of all Rail Corridor Access needs.Reliable and precisely planned and prepared L2 and L3 Maintenance works.Cooperating with different maintenance workstreams for effective alignment.ResponsibilityPlanning of all Asset-related maintenance activities, their alignment and related material / spares supply process to ensure effective preparation of all maintenance works, including logistics, involved other workstreams and 3rd parties (such as Street Authorities).Supporting the Rail Corridor Application process through precise planning and forecasting needs for individual slots; co-operating with other workstreams in order to create shared Rail Corridor Access slots.Checking frequently all Inspection reports and aligning with Senior Manager for the timely creation of all Work Orders; provides execution plans and arrangements for all needed L2/L3 maintenance works.Preparation and co-ordination of Flagging Services according to maintenance activities' needs.Gain and maintain detailed knowledge of the GO network infrastructure and the characteristics of the work sites, Flagging needs and spare part supply.Supporting the Senior Manager Fixed Asset Planning & Administration.Continuous improvement approach to technical maintenance planning process.Close collaboration with Rail Corridor Access Planner.ExperienceMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in the maintenance of railroad systems and all related components.Fundamental understanding about the principles and mechanisms of railway infrastructure and the administration of maintenance worksEducation & DesignationsUniversity or College degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a directly-related fieldCompetenciesA demonstrated knowledge of IT systems and computerized work process & inventory control.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet established schedules.Collaboration, partnership building, relationship management and negotiation skills.Experience of coordinating, prioritizing, communicating, and influencing requirements, constraints, and trade-offs between our partnersKnowledge / experience in North American Railway operation process.Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation communication skills.We are an Equal Employer.
