Position Summary:
We are currently looking for an experienced Sr Designer to join our Creative Team.
You will use your talents and industry experience in supporting the business growth of the Outerwear’s division in expansion.
The position is located in the Ville St Laurent office. This role is a permanent role with benefits.
Responsibilities include:
Create, develop and edit detailed technical packages, including detailed technical sketches in Adobe Illustrator and Technical BOMs (bill of materials), listing all garment components & trims, in Microsoft Excel.
Create Development Tech packs, Proto sample comments, SMS tech packs, Production Tech packs, Costing Tech packs etc.
Manage flow of information related to tracking fabrics, tracking samples.
Communicate with vendors daily to review and follow up development and sample requests (fabrics, colors, trims, original samples, proto samples, duplicates etc.)
Ensure strong relationships with vendors.
Create CADs
Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and focus on key strategies to support the objectives of the division.
Work closely with the fit and spec / technical team to ensure the styling and quality from development stage of each product to final production.
Research on regular basis
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical designing Outerwear.
A diploma in Fashion Design.
Bilingualism (English and French) an asset.
Strong communication skill and organized
Must be able to work autonomously and with little supervision.
Be able to work at a fast pace.
Strong time management skills and work well under pressure, Ability to multitask & meet tight deadlines.
Must be a team player.
Strong knowledge of all finishing, technics, fabrics and trims of Outerwear
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop & Microsoft Office in a Mac environment is a must.
Flexible, opened mind and fast learner.
