Job Description
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Employ design tools while adhering to industry standards.
Provide support for multiple client projects concurrently.
Develop and revise electrical power plans, one-line diagrams, grounding plans, lighting plans, and cable tray routing drawings.
Contribute to Substation and Motor Control Center (MCC) layouts, in both Low and High Voltage systems.
Apply fundamental knowledge of electronics, motor controls, and relay logic.
Generate Instrument plans and loop diagrams, incorporating installation details from piping drawings, civil drawings, and P&IDs.
Manage project schedule, budget, and progress.
Coordinate and communicate with other disciplines and clients.
Identify and resolve issues, seeking assistance when necessary.
Support junior personnel within the design team as needed.
Assume the role of Electrical Design Lead on specific projects if required.
Provide assistance and guidance during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Ensure safety in all design work processes.
Ensure compliance with client-specific codes and standards or agreed industry standards.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum (15) years’ experience in EPC environment
Hands on experience in-facility is highly preferred
Electrical & Instrumentation
NCCER
certification
(preferred, not
required)
Proficient in electrical power distribution and equipment design
Competence in Communication Networks design/implementation is a plus.
Experience in
utilizing
piping drawings, civil drawings, and P&IDs
Proficient using AutoCAD2D and Plant 3D
for modeling electrical raceways and
equipment
Experience utilizing SPI is highly valued
Knowledge of NEC, ISA and other industry code
Ability to size wire,
conduit
and cable
trays
Ability to work collaboratively in team settings
Ability to lift and carry up to (25) lbs.
Ability to perform field visits to engage with client and personnel
Work schedules may include extended hours
