The Sr. Human Resources Generalist acts as a strategic partner to provide support and advice for labour and employment related matters, including the application of policies and procedures, employee dispute handling and resolution, conflict investigation and resolution, attendance management, discipline and performance management for a specific client group. What You Will Do:

Provides leadership, coaching and guidance to supervisors and employees regarding laws, regulations, policies, procedures and practices related to employee relations matters to ensure compliance and company-wide consistency Provides consultation, guidance and recommendations on outcomes to resolve employee relations issues, with a key focus on maintaining a positive employee relations climate Responsible for conducting employee relations investigations (both formal and informal) adhering to all internal and external standards Provides recommendations and input for policy changes and supports driving change management and integration of the change in the organization Responsible for counseling and guiding Managers and Team Member’s in the resolution of Team Member problems and/or responding to Team Member complaints Responsible to monitor and enforce consistent application of policies, as well as provide guidance and enforcement to management on the appropriateness of disciplinary and non-disciplinary actions Required to effectively partner with HR centers of excellence (HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Disability Management, Learning and Development) to ensure effective delivery of services Collaborates with the business to identify and solve workforce challenges and shares information, knowledge and standard processes with the business Conducts research, and prepares reports on a variety of labour relations and legislative issues Partner with management to develop and implement fair and effective performance management practices, including coaching, feedback, and disciplinary action when necessary In partnership with Learning & Development, develops and delivers presentations to key business partners within the organization to maintain consistency and build trusting relationships to promote a positive work environment What You Need:

Post-Secondary Education in a related field required Professional development in labour relations, employment law and/or human resources management is desired A minimum of 5 (+) years’ experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in employee relations Experience within a non-union manufacturing environment is required Knowledge of HR policies Thorough understandings of compliance and regulatory issues regarding employee relations and employee data (e.g., ESA, Human Rights) Knowledge of “best-in-class” employee relations practice Ability to assess employment related risks and intervene with the appropriate level of involvement using internal or external resources Ability to represent the company to all internal partners on matters relating to employee relations Ability to collaborate with and advise corporate /business unit leaders on employee relations issues and to engage the appropriate internal or external resources in order to implement solutions Ability to flex work schedule in order to support the needs of a 24/7 fast-paced, manufacturing operation About Us
