Our Oil & gas industry client is looking for a Sr Financial Analyst with strong legal entity reporting experience. This is a year contract role with hybrid work style 3-4 on site in Calgary.Responsibilities:Coordinate the compilation and accurate preparation of various Canadian and US legal entity financial statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS for compliance and governance purposes. Collaborate closely with Business Units and the Tax team to support the preparation of legal entity financial statements. Provide support for legal entity statement review and audit engagements with external auditors, as necessary. Implement process improvements and identify efficiencies, including the migration of legal entity financial statements to Workiva. Work closely with Accounting Research to address reporting and disclosure matters promptly, including changes to IFRS. Assist with the preparation and review of tax step memos, as required. Undertake additional reporting duties and projects as needed.Must have Requirements:University degree combined with a professional accounting designation (CPA preferred). Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of IFRS requirements.
