The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with peers, support teams and partners to develop solutions, provide advanced technical support, work in a creative, fast-paced agile environment, and show a keep interest in solving highly complex technical problems.WHAT YOU WILL DO:day-to-day operational and emergency support of core Database DB infrastructure systems including SAN, OS and associated platforms and hosting solutions (On-Prem, Cloud and Hybrid)and Implement hybrid DB infrastructure systems that are scalable, stable and efficientand Transform data from Sybase Database to PostgreSQL or MySql using AWS DMS and SCT.CloudFormation and Terraform code to build RDS instances on AWS cloud.and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sourcescreates, manages, and troubleshoots AWS Cloud databases used by applications to store and retrieve data.and monitor data pipelines and systems for performance and efficiencya migration path to upgrade PostgreSQL to the latest versionother aspects of the DB infrastructure (security, scaling, etc.)DB systems and Identify patterns that affect the performance, reliability, or availability of a system or service and drive them out of the system through automation or other technical innovationsautomation of recurrent tasks through scripting where possibledocumentation regarding configurations, operations and troubleshooting procedures for both internal and customer-facing systemsin post-mortem and root cause analysisin evaluating new requirements for DB’s; technical designs, the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics as directedfor DB incident, problem, change and configuration management processes for the infrastructure platforms, including license managementoperational stability of DB’s by maintaining security patching and vulnerability remediation on a regularly scheduled basisand maintain all DB inventory and standardssolution and system architecture support for new DB products and servicesin on-call rotation and off-hours support activitiesindustry trends, best practices and new technologies that will provide operational insights to Infrastructure teamsWHAT YOU WILL BRING: Experienceyears of expertise in technical areas such as:environments (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL)Systems (AIX, Windows, Red Hat)/ Backup and Recovery / DR Solutionsworking in a complex environment, writing scripts for monitoring, creating high and low level design documentswith full stack monitoring toolsin SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, etc.of data warehousing concepts and architectures such as star schema, snowflake schema, etc.understanding of CI/CD pipelineEducation/TrainingDegree in Computer Science or equivalentTechnical CertificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilitieswith a proven ability to motivate and inspire othersability to plan realistic process and solution designs requirements appropriate to identified risk scenariosbe a creative and strategic thinker, working comfortably in a highly collaborative environment and be effective in a constantly evolving environmentbe naturally and innately curious, a lifelong learner, have a thirst for knowledge, and can remain calm and composed in times of uncertainty and stress, inspiring the same in othersstrong understanding of Information / Application / Infrastructure Securityanalysis, troubleshooting and remediation techniquesleadership, communication and organization skills with a results-oriented mindsetstrategic planning and transformation discipline, which experience building and communicating business cases for technology changeability to build strong relationships with both business and IT stakeholders and leaders, as well as related IT project and operations teamsto assess necessary activities and prioritize for completion of assignments using excellent time management, prioritization skills and work ethicanalytical problem-solving abilitywritten and verbal communication skillsto work in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentto strive under pressurelevel of creativity and ability to think outside-the-boxWORKING CONDITIONS:peak periods, an irregular work schedule may be expectedCI Financial is an independent company offering global wealth management and asset management advisory services through diverse financial services firms.
