Job Description

Location: Pacekids' North ( Ave NE Calgary)
10.5 month, typically August to June of each year, Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Position to commence as determined with the successful candidate

Responsibilities

Conduct screenings and assessments of preschool and school-aged children using formal and informal speech and language measures
Coach and consult with families and provide appropriate strategies and recommendations for a child's communication programming
Collaborate with families, interdisciplinary team members, teachers and CTAs in a variety of settings
Provide assessment and treatment summary reports, and maintain documentation standards of professional college
Provide education and training to Pacekids' staff
Support ECS programming and classrooms as needed

What You Bring

Completion of a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
Registered member, in good standing, with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA), or in the process of registering
Current professional liability insurance
Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal
Experience working with preschool and school-aged children
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families and staff
Flexibility is essential given the variety of children's abilities, needs and conditions
Current First Aid and CPR Level- C
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check
