Specialist, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs – Non-Food (LBL) – 12mth Contract

Reports to: Director, Quality Assurance

The QA & RA Specialist is responsible to ensure that Control Brand Products are in conformance with respective safety, quality, and labelling standards. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively with the Non-Food QA/RA team, including the Importer of Record team, cross functional teams, and vendors to drive compliance and a consistent customer experience.

Accountabilities:

Develops technical label copy, evaluates product, and claims documentation to ensure compliant labelling of products against the appropriate regulations, guidelines, internal labelling standards and policies. Reviews and approves packaging artwork. Works with Senior QA and RA Specialists, and Product Management teams to ensure all technical documents & data fields are complete. Coordinates QA Audit report reviews and Customer complaint investigations Drives continuous improvement initiatives with vendors focused on product safety and quality Assists in managing customer complaints, including identifying trends and driving resolution and year over year sustainable improvement Interfaces with suppliers/manufacturers, as needed, on quality, safety, and label compliance related issues to ensure corrective and preventative actions Assists Senior Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs specialists with QA / RA duties and other special projects Liaises with internal and external business partners to ensure all aspects of the business needs are addressed Supports the Importer of Record initiatives, including the certificate management process Additional projects and/or responsibilities as required Role Requirements:

University education or equivalent in Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmacy or equivalent science discipline 1-3 years consumer products quality assurance or product regulatory labelling experience in retail or manufacturing environment Thorough knowledge of Consumer products and Textiles labelling regulations Outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and detail Creative problem solver with a strong work ethic Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment Our commitment to Sustainability and Social Impact is an essential part of the way we do business, and we focus our attention on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
