Our client is seeking a qualified and competent Specialist Otolaryngologist with particular expertise in head and neck surgery to augment their medical team. Position Overview
This pivotal role calls for a Specialist ENT Surgeon to contribute to the ENT department at a leading general hospital. As a tertiary referral centre for the central North Island, the department maintains strong links with the University of Auckland Medical School and offers promising opportunities for engagement in research as well as undergraduate and post-graduate teaching.
 
Responsibilities
  • Efficient and effective assessment and management of patients, adhering to accepted professional guidelines
  • Documenting and communicating treatment provided to patients effectively
  • Conducting triage and response to referral letters
  • Participating in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, pre-theatre assessments, operation lists, and multi-disciplinary meetings
  • Establishing collaborative relationships with caregivers and whanau
Requirements
  • Ideal candidates should hold FRACS or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for Vocational Registration in ENT Surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • additional expertise in head and neck surgery is highly desirable, along with the readiness to conduct outpatient clinics at one or more of the peripheral hospitals within the district and participate in an on-call roster.
