The Spa & Massage Practitioner is responsible for providing massage treatments to the guests, conducting morning stretch classes as well as to care for our spa facilities. Our practitioners work as part of a team and are highly organized, efficient and able to work in a fast paced environment. The responsibilities of the Spa & Massage Practitioner include but are not limited to the following:JOB HIGHLIGHTS:Responsible for the daily cleanliness and organization of the facilities: massage rooms, changerooms, yoga room, spa hallway and spa reception area.Maintain a clean, hygienic and neat work environment at all times; ensure all equipment is in safe working orderExceed guest expectations by providing personalized, efficient and courteous customer serviceShow dedication to making every guest feel welcome in our surroundingsProvide necessary information to compile complete guest records.Perform various massage treatments ranging from relaxation, deep tissue to hot stone while accommodating guest’s needs and creating individualized experiences.Providing in-depth knowledge of all products and services available within the SpaMonitoring and re-stocking of all massage supplies and products within the SpaAnswering phone calls with excellent etiquetteLead a stretch or yoga classDemonstrate safe workplace practicesOperate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards and services established by the companyKeep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significanceReports all concerns related to Engineering/Maintenance, Health and Safety, Security or Suspicious circumstances (including smells/sights and sound) immediately to the appropriate leader.Willingness to assist other members of the lodge team when neededQUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:Must have the proper credentials and certification for bodywork and massageHands-on experience in the massage industry1-2 years’ experience within the hospitality industry is considered an assetAble to lead a stretch class or yoga classAdditional language skills are an asset, but not mandatoryMust possess excellent communications, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills and be a team playerResponsible and dependable with a poised and friendly attitudeMust have attention to detail and the ability to multitaskMust be flexible in regards to scheduling and working shiftsMust be able and willing to live and work in a remote settingHaving own transportation is highly recommendedPHYSICAL DEMANDS:May be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time and lift, bend and reachVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in CanadaNote: Due to the nature of our business all members of the team may be required to take on additional responsibilities at times to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
