Pacific Coast Hospitality is looking for a Sous Chef for this privately owned, locally operated, full-service quality operation. Custom built hardwood grills are featured in the restaurant where the freshest seafood and steaks are charbroiled over mesquite and applewood. This popular destination eatery features 50 craft beers on tap, scratch made locally sourced food, and a fun lively atmosphere. The exposition kitchen is designed to invite guests to watch the art of preparing the food.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have the following to be considered:

  • 3 years’ working as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume upscale casual dining restaurant
  • Ability to step in and step up and contribute from Day One
  • Laser focus on the FOOD and building your team
  • Great at taking direction and putting directive plans in place fluidly and successfully
  • Experience in leading, developing, and mentoring team members
  • Aggressive intuitive ability to source and hire quality team members and successfully onboard them, orient them, and support training them
  • Ability to communicate openly, directly, and honestly with leadership and your team
  • Basic understanding of restaurant accounting and ability to use data to improve operations
  • Must be a good COOK! Hardworking – hands-on – Leads by example!
  • Strong kitchen organizational skills / ability to set and uphold standards

  • Package: $55k – $ 60k (starting, based on experience level)
