Job Description

Responsibilities:

-Report directly to the Head Chef - Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation process - Create and develop menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience - Manage food inventory and ensure proper stock levels - Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers - Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and regulations - Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events or promotions - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment - Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new culinary techniques

-Work closely with the General Manager to achieve goals and exceed targets.

-Along with the General Manager you are responsible for fostering and maintaining a positive, inclusive work culture.

Experience: - Previous Head Chef experience in the food industry - Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including kitchen procedures, food handling, and safety protocols - Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff - Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality and creativity - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong organizational and time management skills

Skills: - Food industry knowledge and understanding of current culinary trends - Leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff - Restaurant management skills to oversee daily operations in the kitchen - Proficiency in various cooking techniques and food preparation methods - Experience supervising kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and productivity - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food - Strong attention to detail to maintain high standards of quality in food preparation and presentation
