Job Description

Reporting to the VP, Procurement, Sourcing & Commercialization, the Sourcing Manager will support our fast-paced, growing company by ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for operations. They are responsible for the purchase of all ingredients used in products manufactured at YaYA Foods. They will bring value to the organization through their execution of strategic sourcing activities including conducting RFPs, market risk management, and supplier contract negotiations. They will be instrumental in fostering key supplier partnerships and working with customers to develop solutions to meet their needs and improve the value offering of YaYA Foods. This role will require a daily onsite presence. ResponsibilitiesRun a structured, proactive procurement function. Match sales forecasts to material requirements providing certainty of availability of materials and maximizing effectiveness of purchasing to deliver favourable cost of goodsLead supplier contract negotiations, both for long term supply agreements and ad-hoc purchasing requirementsEvaluate supplier core competencies, competitive positioning, and risk by conducting market research into market trends, utilizing cost models, and creating cost estimates and forecastsConduct commodity market risk analysis to inform hedging decisions and deliver supply certainty at favourable costsIdentify cost savings opportunities and determine what contingencies exist to deliver themConduct RFPs to identify the best sourcing option on price, reliability, and quality for the businessUnderstand customer needs - Enhance customer relationships with the objective of reducing costs, growing business, and eliminating inefficiencies throughout the procurement cycleAs the central point of contact for purchasing in the organization, coordinate projects to deliver successful results with commercialization, planning, finance, quality, operations, and salesDrive strategic decision making on purchasing decisions through research, & data analysisCoordinate with the planning function on contracting of materials to ensure all requirements are confirmed, available, and delivered on timeManage material requirements with contract commitments, recording all transactions. Fully understand and report on cost of goods used in production and forecast out cost of goods based on futures markets conditionsDrive purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, and an overall comprehensive evaluation of various suppliersProfiledegree in business, management, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field is requiredyears of procurement related experience with demonstrated leadership skills is requireddegree in business administration or a specialization in advanced procurement management is an assetproficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel particularly) is mandatory. Experience in development and use of macros considered an asset. Experience with Oracle Netsuite is valuableverbal and written communication skills for all levels of organizational managementto collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data using critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skillsleadership, team building, and management skills to mentor and lead staff.
