Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Solution Architect (Manager), you will lead multi-disciplinary agile teams in designing and delivering high-quality solutions that delight customers and positively impact users worldwide. Collaborating with customer architects, you will establish functional and non-functional designs, offering expert advice on estimated effort, technical implications, and complexity.

You will oversee, coach, and develop a small team, focusing on performance management and career development. You will guide your team through solving complex problems together by providing direction and leadership.

As a technical leader, you will collaborate with peers to develop policies and standards, share knowledge, and mentor colleagues. You will also stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and methodologies, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience with delivering software designs for multi-tiered modern software applications.
  • Understanding whole solution architecture concepts, and can communicate and negotiate these with customer architects.
  • Prioritizing non-functional concerns for customers and incorporating these into the application design.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings.
  • The ability to easily communicate technical design in conversation, documentation, and presentations.
  • The ability to make effective decisions within fast-moving delivery.
  • A passion for developing people, with demonstrated ability in managing, coaching, and developing junior members of your team and wider community.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Proven experience being accountable for all sizes of technology delivery challenges (e.g. project, multi-team program.
  • Experience proactively developing business across accounts with sales and account managers.
  • Management experience, including setting objectives, giving feedback, and leading performance reviews.
  • The ability to prioritize your time across multiple major projects.
  • The ability to share your thoughts and views on technology.
  • Past participation in technology communities.
