SNDL's investment portfolio seeks to deploy strategic capital through direct and indirect investments and partnerships throughout the global cannabis industry.About the RoleReporting directly to the Vice President, Business Technology Operations, SNDL is currently expanding and looking to recruit an intermediate Software Quality Assurance Specialist. Working with the Business Technology team, this position will play a vital role in advancing our QA automation framework. We are looking for a dynamic team member who is proactive and passionate about ensuring software quality and seamless release coordination.Primary Responsibilities:Quality AssuranceDevelop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of our systems.Contribute to the company's success by creating, maintaining, and verifying automation tests and scripts that enhance overall operational efficiency.Maintain the existing automation framework by creating, updating, deleting, and fixing tests as needed.Participating in system design and development phases to ensure that products are designed with quality in mind. Proactively identifying testing requirements or revisions necessary to ensure that planned changes are properly tested before deployment.Conducting functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and report defects, ensuring timely bug resolution.Identify, document, and track defects, work closely with software developers to ensure timely resolution, and communication to stakeholders of identified issues.Performing root cause analysis to identify and address the underlying causes of defects and quality issues.Seamlessly integrate automation tests into Azure DevOps, enhancing the overall efficiency of our testing processes.Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Release CoordinationCoordinate and manage the release process, including planning, scheduling, and communication with stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment of releases.Experience and Qualifications:Post secondary education in Computing Science, Information Systems Technology, or a related field.4+ years of experience in a QA automation role or other relevant work experience.2+ years of experience in a release coordination role or other relevant work experience.Proven experience in quality assurance and release coordination, preferably in a software development environment.Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).Experience with test automation frameworks.Familiarity with DevOps and the Microsoft Business Suite.Experience with D365 F&O would be an asset.Experience with the Regression Suite Automation Tool (RSAT).Foundational proficiency in SQL including the ability to create and execute scripts.Experience with API tests: HttpClient, Swagger, Postman/Fiddler or similar tools.Strong experience using Azure DevOps, Pipelines (CI/CD), Test Plans, Release Management strategies.Strong experience in building and maintaining integration and end-to-end test automation suites of large, complex applications involving web, and micro services.Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.Strong testing mindset, customer oriented, and advocates for quality of products and processesAs a valued member of the SNDL team, you will enjoy:Competitive total compensation and incentivesA top-notch extended benefits package including medical, vision and dentalAn entrepreneurial and innovative environment that fosters growth and continuous learningWe are grateful for the interest in this role from all candidates, however, we will be contacting only those that are selected for next steps in the hiring process.Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: SNDL is an equal opportunity employer.
