And thats where you come in.Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada (Hybrid)To perform design, analysis, programming and integration activities in the development of software for train control systems.Key Accountabilities:Understands and follows the companys processes and procedures for developing software applicationsImplements real time systems in Python, C++, C#Designs, codes, debugs, writes test procedures and tests software codeReviews code, test procedures and test resultsAnalyses and implements corrections for defect reportsSupport in-house testing teams to analyse and identify issuesKey Requirements:B.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalentKnowledge of software development environmentKnowledge of software architectureDevelopment experience in Python, C++, C#Experience with Visual StudioExperience with Linux, Powershell and Bash scriptingKnowledge of modern software engineering practices, methods and toolsExperience with Amazon Web Services and other cloud providersKnowledge of virtualization technologies, VMware, ESXI or other hypervisor system configuration and managementStrong problem solving, written, verbal and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:C, C++, Python, embedded development experience is considered an assetSalary Range: $66,080-$76,000The Company provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 24 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following:Health, Dental and Vision plans - 100% of premiums are company-paidRetirement Savings Plan with a company contribution and a match, and without vesting periodCompany paid holidays - 3 weeks of vacation, Christmas closure, personal days and sick daysMaternity/Parental/Adoption top up payAnnual Incentive planCompany provided Life Insurance, STD and Employee Assistance PlanThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
