This is a new role on our team and a key part of our strategic transformation in digital marketing – bring your passion for our industry, live and work in beautiful BC and help us build momentum with your ability to create great content!The Social Media Manager is responsible for deploying APL’s brand & marketing strategies in social media, managing the social media profiles for APL’s western portfolio of brands, and collaborating with APL’s western estate wineries to coordinate and amplify in-person events on social media.What we offerTop industry brands and beautiful estate properties for your to captureGreat leadership and mentors who are great at what they do in sales, operations and marketingCompetitive pay and incentivesLeading healthcare benefits and employee assistance programDoes this sound like youCreative eye and skilled on phone platforms and social media with making content on the go.Passion for the wine industryUniversity degree/diploma in Public Relations/Communications, Marketing or Special Events Management (an asset)2-4 years’ experience in social media management.Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms (Meta, Google, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, LinkedIn)Wine knowledge, experience in event management, and experience working in Estates is considered an asset.Strong Communication Skills and excellent attention to detail.High-level collaborator, effective at coordinating with cross-functional teams.Ability to effectively multitask and meet multiple deadlines is critical.A Valid drivers license, proof of insurance and access to a reliable vehicle is required, to travel to various sites.Key responsibilities in the jobEnsuring that the presence, tone, look, and feel for APL’s western portfolio of brands on social media is consistent with each brand’s overarching strategy, and aligned with APL’s overall marketing strategies and objectives.Maintaining the quarterly and monthly social content calendars for APL’s western portfolio of brands and coordinating with the Brand and Creative teams to ensure social content is developed to spec and ready to be deployed on time.Collaborating with the Brand and Creative teams to develop content for social media, providing guidance and thought leadership on visual aesthetic, platform-specific best practices, copywriting, and current trends.Trafficking and monitoring paid and organic social media posts and campaigns and providing recommendations for in-flight optimizations, where applicable.Delivering regular, standardized reports to APL’s cross functional teams, and establishing brand-specific and platform-specific benchmarks for APL’s performance in social media.Managing user engagement across APL’s western portfolio of brands by responding to comments and questions and maintaining best-in-class response times to help deliver exceptional customer experiences.Coordinating with the Brand and Creative teams to identify relevant influencers to collaborate with on brand campaigns, supporting with relationship management and content development.Capturing content during on-site events with customers.Capturing, developing, and deploying low-fi / low-investment social media content, when necessary.Supporting with the evaluation and management of social media technology vendors, such as social listening tools.Providing thought leadership and strategic guidance to cross-functional teams about how to best present and manage brands in social media, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of social media best practices, participating in webinars / seminars to learn about the latest trends and functionalities across platforms.Supporting with relationship management between APL and client managers from social media platforms.Providing support for, and helping to organize, brand photoshoots, while helping to ensure that any content captured can be consistently leveraged in cross-channel marketing campaigns.You will report to the Manager, Digital Marketing & Social Media and this department sits within our creative team. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand alignment in all communications and initiatives. Your work environment is considered Hybrid and we are flexible between estate offices and home office depending on what works for our ideal applicant.
