CLASSIFICATION: Flexible Part Time (FPT) STATUS: Non-Exempt

(Not to exceed 29 hours per week)

MINISTRY: Communications MANAGER: ProjectManager

GENERAL WORK WEEK: Monday –Friday or Sunday – Thursday LOCATION: Argyle

Alternating weeks (may include some nights and weekend hours) (hours may vary and no minimum # of hours guaranteed)

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

The Social Media Content Creator will beresponsible for capturing & creating social media content including photos& videos and managing the social media posting scheduling including brandrelated content features and promotions. This role will stay current andrelevant on all up-to-date trends and algorithms on social media.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· 1-2 years experience in social media

· Graphic Design experience strongly preferred

· Work proficiently with Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroomand other related software

· Quickly learn new software programs/and orfunctions & upgrades

· Copywriting experience including knowledge of howto use consistent voice in writing to convey the brand message.

· Willing and open to change, be flexible in avariety of situations

· A team player giving and receiving input, willingto compromise & cooperate

· Exhibit clear and effective verbal and non-verbalcommunications skills

· Ableto develop people and systems to optimize growth and effectiveness

· Forward thinker who assumes responsibility and takesinitiative

· Must possess a genuine humility and work well inthe context of a team

· Clearance of a criminal background check

PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES :

· Workproficiently with Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and otherrelated software

· Operateday-to-day within the project management system to help ensure that projectsand information are current, up to date, and deadlines are met.

· Createand/or collaborate with contractors to create social media graphics.

· Attendchurch events as needed to capture photos or videos for social media content.

· Collaboratewith ministries to post on their ministry specific social media platforms

· Overseeweekly email newsletter, and ministry email communication

· Createand manage social media posting schedule including brand related contentfeatures and promotions

· Staycurrent and relevant on all up-to-date trends and algorithms on social media(Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and provide guidance and training to therest of the marketing team

· Managesocial media advertising budget and campaigns in Facebook Business Manager,YouTube Studio, etc

· Lookfor opportunities for audience growth and increased engagement

· Understandbranding and digital marketing best practices working collaboratively with theDirector of Communications

· Provideideas and direction for social media content including graphics, photos, andvideo

· Organizeand maintain execution of projects and related planning, details, and schedulesto meet established deadlines

· Attend essential (required) staffmeetings/functions as assigned by the manager and/or Leadership.

WORK HOURS :

· Part-Time Positions - Part-time employees have varying hours depending upon the role butshould never exceed 29 hours per work week. The actual number of hours per week is not guaranteed and may vary withthe workload. Failure to adhere to the29-hour rule is a violation of the employment agreement.

· The established work week is Sunday throughSaturday for all payroll purposes including tracking part-time hours.

· Flexible part-time employees’ schedules and worklocations are based upon the role and scope of responsibilities.

· A finalized schedule will be established with theManager but typically falls within the general hours noted below.

o Monday-Friday role 8:30-5:00Monday-Thursday 8:30-2:00Friday

o Sunday-Thursday role 9:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday 7:00-1:00Sundays (varies by role)

· A 1-hour lunch break is provided and required to betaken by an employee. The actual time ofthe lunch break is determined with the manager’s input.

· Employees must understand that ministry does notalways fall within a normal schedule and working outside of that schedule canperiodically include weekends, evenings and holidays for CT sponsored eventsthat are essential (required). Forfull-time roles, additional hours outside the normal scope may be accommodatedwith comp time and/or a temporary adjustment to the normal schedule whereindicated. This is handled by Managerdiscretion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT – PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Positionrequires bending, stooping, and stretching to complete various tasks, andoccasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 25-50 pounds. Work is generallyperformed indoors but may involve limited exposure to outdoor weatherconditions.
