Director National Accounts Management – Client Services

This role is a national office, a hybrid role 4 days in the office and 1 at home.

Located at 234 Consumers Rd. North York until April 2025, when we will relocate to 1 PCC in Brampton, Ontario.

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team.

Have you managed up to 10 major accounts across the country with a variety of program requirements within the accident or health insurance? Where major accounts amount to a range between $50 to $100 million in the book of business. Reporting to our VP Business Development and Growth, the Director National Accounts Management will focus on 100% relationship and account maintenance with the slight opportunity to grow the portfolio. You will help us improve internal systems and processes to manage the current business.

About the role

  • This role requires strong relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of our clients' businesses and needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all business-related inquiries and activities.
  • Understand the unique needs and objectives of each key account and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure the successful execution of client projects and initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services to existing key accounts to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess performance, address any issues or concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay informed about changes that may impact key accounts and our business.
  • Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and sales plans to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our value proposition and strengthen our relationships with key clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and services and expand our network of key clients.

Qualifications: 

  • Healthcare, insurance or financial industry experience preferred
  • Proven track-record of successfully managing accounts or sales, with at least 10 years of experience in account management from which 5 years are in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management, account planning and general sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop effective business operational effectiveness and continuation.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue and achieving account growth targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time as required to meet with key clients and attend industry events.
  • French is an asset
  • Experience in the benefit or accident insurance industry is an asset
