Description
Our client is an experienced Underwriter to join their Sports, Leisure & Entertainment team! The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years relevant underwriting experience and prior MGA experience.
Location: Remote in BC
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Review and apply pricing, terms & conditions to new and renewal business
- Maintaining & growing existing book of business
- Establish & strengthen relationships with brokers
- Develop out new broker relationships, including broker visits & discussions
- Discuss new product development ideas & mentor junior colleagues in the team
Requirements:
- 3+ years of relevant underwriting experience with at least 1 year of direct experience in SLE risks
- Prior working experience with MGA
- Level 1 General Insurance license (or the ability to obtain within a certain time frame)
- CAIB, CIP, CRM, FCIP or working towards a designation is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong underwriting acumen, effective communication, and negotiation skills
