Construction Manager Montreal, QC Type: Permanent, Full-Time Brunel is seeking a dedicated, heavy industry experienced, and driven Construction Manager to join us in our clients mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a central part of a bold and passionate construction team. By joining them, you will play a pivotal role in ramping up the operations and contribute to building one of the first large-scale North American battery factories. The Construction Manager role will be responsible for leading and overseeing the construction phase of a groundbreaking Greenfield project in the heavy industrial sector, specifically focusing on the development of one of the first large-scale battery factories in North America. This includes building and developing a team, managing all aspects of construction, from initial planning and scheduling to execution, commissioning and completion, ensuring the project meets all quality, safety, and environmental standards. Lead and oversee the entire construction process of a major greenfield project in the heavy industrial sector, ensuring it meets all quality, schedule, and budget requirements. Develop and implement construction strategies, work plans, and schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project execution. Establish and maintain high HSE standards to ensure the safety and well-being of all project personnel and compliance with regulatory requirements. Direct and manage all construction activities, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to existing operations. Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse construction team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, suppliers, government agencies, and community representatives, to ensure alignment and support for the project. Oversee budgeting, cost management, and resource allocation to ensure the project is completed within financial targets. Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role within the heavy industrial construction sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale Greenfield and Brownfield projects. Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (MBA an asset). Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, lead, and manage a multi-disciplinary construction team. Excellent HSE management skills with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements. Proficient in construction scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, with a keen ability to manage costs and optimize resources. Must be willing to travel and be on-site as project demands. Bilingual Communication: Fluent communication in French and English to effectively manage a diverse team and liaise with local and international stakeholders.
