The Opportunity

Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Shift Supervisor in the Refinery Operations facility. This is a full-time position based in Prince George, BC. The Shift Supervisor provides the Process Field Operators and Process Panel Operators with daily direction to achieve operational objectives. This includes overseeing daily activities, scheduling and training. This role will provide operational and technical support to the Process operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

The Shift Supervisor will safely maintain daily operations of the refinery process units and optimize process unit conditions. This role will supervise operations shift personnel to coordinate the daily operational and maintenance routines required for safe and reliable refinery operations. The shift will vary in the Refinery Facility.

The position will be a key resource in all aspects of the day to day operating and maintenance control for identifying priorities, potential impacts, and mitigation planning. Key Responsibilities

Summary of Responsibilities:

Provide daily safety oversight to the operation of the refinery. Monitor the daily operations of the refinery process and optimize process unit conditions. Perform daily equipment inspections for operating integrity and reliability.

Complete daily safety preparations for operations, contractors and maintenance including Pre Job Assessments, Field Level Hazard Assessments, Safe Work Permits. Review operations safety procedures (PHAs, MOCs and PJAs) to ensure compliance with regulations.

Respond to process upsets and emergencies as the initial management responder

Participate in investigations into equipment failures and troubleshoot process operations problems. Implement recommendations from investigations.

Coordination of training for Process Operators, including safety and process training

Supervision of shutdowns, startups and manage unplanned upset

Coordination with operations and maintenance teams on work prioritization

Minimum Qualifications:

12 - 15 years of experience in an operations role within a process plant environment Experience with DCS operation, preferably DeltaV

Comprehensive knowledge of industrial operations and unit operations. The ability to identify problems and devise and recommend methods and procedures for their resolution.

3 - 5 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role Power Engineering certification would be an asset Employee Benefits

Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package including an attractive base salary, short term and long term incentive plans, as well as Pension & Savings contributions.

Base Salary would range from $150,000 to $170,000 annually.
