Course Description:
Macroeconomic issues relevant for commerce students. Analytical tools are used to examine policy issues: Canadian government budgets, Bank of Canada monetary policy, exchange rate policy, foreign trade policy and government regulation of financial intermediaries. This course is restricted to students in the Commerce programs.

Minimum qualifications:
-PhD in Economics
-Prior experience teaching this course (or a similar course) at the university level
-Ability and experience teaching large classes
Preferred qualifications:
-Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years
Description of duties
-Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course
-Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to course
-Preparation, supervision and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations
-Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
