Job Description

• Clearance: VA Public Trust (Tier2 or Tier4)

Using both Out of the Box and Scoped ServiceNow applications, the ServiceNow Developer will work with the development team to build and refine business logic to enhance business capabilities, improve security, and maximize the Veterans Administration's Enterprise ServiceNow capability. You will analyze the needs and the environment to ensure the solution you are developing considers the current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. Responsibilities:

1. Work with the development team, B.A., Testers, and stakeholders to support design, development, installation, and troubleshooting of ServiceNow applications.
2. Integrate it with other programs.
3. Learn about the latest developments in one or more aspects of computer programming.
4. Provide training, documentation, and support.
5. Ensure that the software behaves as designed by testing it for bugs and performance during all stages of the development process.
6. Troubleshoot bugs, fix defects, and support users of applications developed by the enterprise application development team.
7. Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met with regard to coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security.
8. Assist in maintaining detailed documentation of application design and code generation techniques used to train other developers on ServiceNow system software.
9. Develop enhancements for applications developed by the enterprise application development team.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Agile Scrum development methods.
2. Ability to work with stakeholders to define requirements.
3. Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Certification.
5. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certification.
6. ITIL v3 Foundations Certification.
