Job Description

As a ServiceNow Developer you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and leverage your expertise to enhance and optimize IT Service Management processes.

Responsibilities

  • ServiceNow Development: Design, develop, test, and implement custom solutions within the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM): Collaborate with stakeholders to understand ITSM processes and requirements, ensuring the ServiceNow platform aligns with organizational goals.
  • ITIL Implementation: Apply ITIL best practices to design and implement efficient and standardized workflows within ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with ITIL principles.
  • Configuration and Customization: Perform configuration changes and customizations in ServiceNow, including the development of workflows, forms, business rules, and UI actions.
  • Integration: Work on integrating ServiceNow with other IT systems, applications, and tools to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and integrations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, and business units, to understand their needs and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a focus on ITSM and ITIL.
  • Experience in integrating various systems with ServiceNow – implementations and/or migrations
  • Experience with development, administration, workflow modification, maintenance and troubleshooting with the following modules:
    o Asset Management, Incident Management and Vendor Management
  • Exposure to CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow development, including scripting (Java, Python, SQL, C++)
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and experience implementing ITIL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • ServiceNow certification(s) preferred.

This is a 6 month contract hybrid role (possible extension or perm opportunity) located in Mississauga, ON (near Erin Mills)
