FANUC Canada is currently searching for aService Installation Engineer. Primary responsibilities will include: Provide customers with on-site robot operation support, debug, and repair of FANUC robots and related system equipment Reporting for work at FANUC Canada on a regularly scheduled basis, but upon extremely short notice, the employee must be able to travel to a customer site and remain on-site for the duration of time required to perform the trouble shooting and repair function. Troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, robot and system programming and path editing and basic warranty analysis of FANUC Robots and related peripheral equipment to recover or optimize system performance. This can cover all aspects of the FANUC product line. Documenting FANUC robots and related peripheral equipment performance and reporting failure modes and results for the purpose of troubleshooting, repair, and restarting the system to prevent future occurrences. Daily reporting to the Service Supervisor & Dispatch to update status & availability. Reporting into the Mississauga office in between service calls for in house assignments. Participating in the rotation of the On Call pager for after hours and weekend service support. Completion of a Service Report for each customer call. Provide informal training to customer and other FANUC Robotics’ Field Service employees to improve the customer’s and FANUC Robotics’ ability to effectively operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the FANUC robot and related peripheral equipment. Provide Telephone based troubleshooting support to FANUC Robotics’ customers and employees to resolve robot related peripheral equipment operational problems. This will can involve providing documentation and the quoting of parts and service directly to the customer. Participate in the integration and/or installation of FANUC robots and related peripheral equipment in order to fully understand its operation, performance requirements, and troubleshooting procedures. Return of parts shipped for a service call but not purchased by the customer or defective parts replaced under warranty. Timely management f your truck stock. Communicate issues and activities to all individuals and groups within the FCL and FAC as well as the customer as required to help facilitate effective communications. Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education: A Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical or mechanical trade certificate preferred. Automotive automation experience. Mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, tear down and repair experience. Minimum of two-year customer service or technical work experience preferred Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints and related technical documentation. Ability to work with FANUC and its’ customers to resolve equipment performance problems or issues in a planned, yet rapid manner. PC and PLC literate. Prior exposure to FANUC equipment. Ability to comply with OHSA Laws, "FANUC Canada - Safety Guidelines for Employees" and other related employment policies.
