What you will be doing in the role of Service Engineering:Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:On-site services including configuration, system installation, start-up services, system upgrades and preventative maintenance of process automation solutionsMaintain a sound working relationships with customer’s personnel in various functional departments, such as: engineering, purchasing and maintenanceHelp maintain and follow ISO proceduresMaintenance of Lakeside support infrastructure including software/hardware installation of new equipment set-upProvide a premier level of customer serviceHandle all customer complaints immediately including participation in Lakeside’s after-hours emergency support rotationPromote a team approach within Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.Provide customized training for plant personnelProvide telephone consultation on process automation problemsFollow through with customer maintenance contract workProvide troubleshooting expertise to resolve process automation problemsKnowledge and skills required for the role:Engineering or Technologist degree in Chemical, Electrical, Biosystems or related disciplineFive or more (5+) years’ experience pertaining to the service, maintenance, and configuration of automation solutions in process industriesProficiency in automation software including PLC, HMI and DCS applicationsExposure to the process industry including Chemical and Specialty Chemical, Pulp and Paper, Refining, Power, Cogeneration (Power & Steam production), Pharma and Biotech, Food and Beverage would be an assetKnowledge of process control, reliability, and instrumentationUnderstanding of electronics and basic electrical requirementsExperience with troubleshooting of computer hardware and its peripheralsStrong oral and written communication skills, report writingTraining and presentation skillsTeam orientationWhat we give YOU!Flexible working schedules, including hybrid remote work programsA competitive compensation package, with RRSP-matchingComprehensive benefits coverage (medical, dental, vision, EAP & on-demand virtual health care)A culture that promotes healthy work-life balance with above-market paid time offChallenging work and direct exposure to key industries in the Canadian marketA structured training and development program and opportunities for continuous learningOpportunity to participate in an award-winning wellness program!About Us:Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.
