Lead Water Resources Civil EngineerWe are seeking experienced water resources/civil engineer who is looking to take their career to the next level. The ideal candidate would have the ability to both manage and conduct project work independently while mentoring other staff on project teams. This position will require an aptitude for leadership, excellent communication and people skills, and a willingness to develop client relationships, and guide corporate development. Desired experience includes hydraulic and hydrologic modeling with multiple platforms and familiarity with sustainable approaches such as Low Impact Development (LID) design.This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a well-rounded skillset. This position will involve continuing to build up a planning and design office in Canada, offering the independence to shape your own future. With this opportunity, you can be part of bringing new concepts and ideas to planning and design projects to benefit our water and ecology, and to support healthier communities.Job Status: Full TimeJob Location: Edmonton, AlbertaRelocation: Partial reimbursement is available.Education/Experience:Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering fieldRegistration as a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) in good standing in Alberta/OntarioWater Resources Engineering experience, 6+ years preferred.Project Mgmt. experience with a range of projects sizes ($50,000-$500,000) & multi-disciplinary componentsExcellent writing and communication skillsLow Impact Development/Green Infrastructure design experiencePlanning, design, and construction of stormwater management facilitiesConstruction documentation, over-site, plan review, and observation experienceFamiliarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (ex SWMM), and water quality modelingManaging working teams of 6-8 design professionalsClient relations, presentations, and business developmentStrong organizational skillsOffice best practices - financial tracking, budgeting, interpersonal problem-solvingCapacity to lead and work remotely with coworkers and clients across Canada and the USA
