Senior Underwriter Professional Lines Remote Job In Abbotsford

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join their team! The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of progressive experience in Professional Lines underwriting.

Location: Remote in BC

Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct thorough risk assessments for Professional Liability & Management Liability accounts
• Develop and underwrite a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
• Evaluate and determine appropriate underwriting decisions, including policy terms, conditions, and pricing
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting strategies and decision
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance market presence and build professional relationships

Requirements:

• 3+ years of progressive experience in Professional Lines underwriting
• Prior working experience with MGA is preferred
• Level 1 General Insurance license
• A (CIP) or equivalent or working towards a designation is preferred
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong underwriting acumen, effective communication, and negotiation skills
