Agricorp is looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join the Income Stabilization Services team on a 12 month contract within the IT division. The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for end-to-end testing of new systems and enhancements to support continuous improvement to programs, including Farm Property Tax Class Rate Program, Provincial Premises Registry and RMP livestock.

The Role

The Senior Test Analyst is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on all phases of end‑to‑end testing of highly complex system changes, from unit testing or system integration testing hand-off through to production deployment. This includes confirmation testing, regression testing, non-functional testing, reliability testing, usability testing, efficient maintenance and portability requirements. In this role, you will:

  • Create detailed test plans using static analysis and testing of user requirements, user stories, system requirements definition, and functional or logical specifications
  • Use prior knowledge and experience to consider the complex scope of testing through all phases of the project or initiative
  • Collaborate with other assigned staff to complete and manage testing methodically and efficiently
  • Provide senior technical assistance and support to test analysts
  • Conduct complex end-to-end testing within and across integrated applications and technical platforms
  • Assist test analysts in resolving problems and issues of moderate complexity
  • Ensure broad test coverage to increase quality
  • Improve test methods to help decrease manual effort and timelines
  • Recommend industry best practices, testing tools and technology to help improve existing processes and procedures
  • Coach and shares knowledge with test analysts and other staff, both within the department and across the division
  • Use knowledge and experience to anticipate areas of risk in systems and prioritize testing to find important defects early
  • Conduct tests, evaluate actual results and raise variance reports as required

Salary band 7: $69,363 - $81,603

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in system testing or quality assurance, including writing and executing test plans and test cases
  • 3-5 years testing experience preferred within the following internal system platforms: Farm Property Tax Class Rate Program, Provincial Premises Registry and RMP livestock
  • Post-secondary education in an information technology-related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and the software testlife cycle, including estimation and defining tests, testplanning, requirement analysis, test cases, defect managementand testmonitoring
  • Experience compiling and analyzing data and creating reports and recommendations for management
  • Experience in estimating work effort, scheduling work and reporting progress on a regular basis
  • Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics CRM program
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent testing certifications an asset
  • Working experience with JIRA tracking software an asset
  • Agile testing experience an asset
