Role and Responsibilities ResponsibilitiesDevelop a variety of content, including user, admin, and developer guides, step-by-step how-to tutorialsWork with a mix of products, including end-user devices and apps, enterprise IT admin cloud services, web consoles, and REST APIsWrite blog posts and create how-to videos to promote our products.Understand our customers: their point of views, knowledge levels, skill sets, preferences, and pain points. You’ll do this by working with our UX researchers to run surveys, interviews, and tests. With this knowledge, you’ll pitch your content to the right audience using the right languageOptimize quality by reviewing customer feedback, and continually improving our contentEnhance internal efficiency and productivity. You’ll review the latest tools and methods; propose new ways of working; and train and support team members during transitionReview and edit documents for accuracy, coherence and adherence to style guideEnsure consistency and clarity in terminology, formatting, and styleEnhance and maintain editorial guidelines, templates, and best practicesProvide feedback and guidance to writers to improve their writing skills Skills and Qualifications RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Communications, or equivalentAt least 8+ years of technical or business writing experienceExcellent proficiency in English, ability to explain highly complex concepts in plain English and attention to detail.Ability to understand new and complex technologies quicklyStrong attention to detail and a commitment to qualityProblem solving skills, ability to find the root cause of issues and troubleshoot them yourselfAgility in multi-tasking in a rapidly changing environment with hard deadlinesKnowledge of any of the following: Mobile Device Management solutions, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, or Active Directory (AD)Experience with Markdown, HTML and CSS: troubleshooting issues, updating design and layoutExperience with video development: storyboarding, scripting, productionExperience with GitHub & Hugo CMSThe salary range for this role is expected to be between $99,000 to $128,000 and reflects base salary only.
