PositionOverview The Senior Technical Sourcing Specialist is a liaison betweenthe Operations team and Exact Sciences\' approved and potentialsuppliers. A solid science, production, engineering, or procurementbackground and passion for supply chain is required for this role. Thescope of work will vary but will require working with a diverse team ofcross-functional stakeholders. The Senior Technical Sourcing Specialistis expected to provide leadership in the procurement elements of aproject with an understanding of the technical requirements. Areas offocus include supplier evaluation, negotiation, monitoring, supply riskmanagement, request for proposals (RFPs), support for new productinitiatives, and technical troubleshooting with suppliers. This rolerequires a persistent and eager individual to find solutions that meetExact Sciences\' operational needs, building a robust supply chain in arapidly growing company. Essential Duties include but are not limited tothe following: Collaborate with strategic suppliers when opportunitiesarise, and technical support follow-up is required. Attendcross-functional meetings to support new product initiatives and productsupport. Provide updates to stakeholders to ensure all are aware ofongoing initiatives and projects with suppliers. Develop request forproposals (RFP\'s) with input from cross-functional areas. Analyzeproposal responses with cross-functional teams. Identify and evaluatebackup and alternate suppliers based on business needs. Providetechnical information to suppliers to support investigations. Drivefollow-up with suppliers to meet aggressive timelines. Assist withdevelopment and implementation of strategic supply chain initiatives,including cost savings initiatives and secondary sourcing. Engage incontract negotiations to drive year-over-year costs savings. Assist andmanage with supply agreement negotiations. Assist with suppliermanagement related to the quality system and annual reviews. Hostsupplier visits both onsite and via teleconference. Visit andparticipate in...
