With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.The Team:The Finance & Operations team at Jobber is responsible for anything money related to better help plan, budget, and implement Jobber’s best ideas.The Role:Reporting to our Director of Accounting, the Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for all things tax at Jobber to ensure that we are meeting our various tax compliance requirements on a timely basis. You will ensure that our tax compliance matters are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This role is for someone who is a quick learner and can easily adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You take pride and ownership over the quality of your work and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. You have next level communication and relationship building abilities that you use to effectively coordinate with external and internal stakeholders.The Senior Tax Manager will:Lead our income tax and indirect tax compliance in Canada, USA and other international jurisdictions as we continue to growPrepare the financial statement tax notes in accordance with US GAAP, as well as account reconciliations and related journal entries as it relates to taxationBe the primary point of contact for all external tax matters with external consultants, government auditors and financial auditorsManage our Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) process including coordination with external advisors and internal product development teamsDevelop and implement internal processes and controls as they relate to taxation requirementsAdvise on the tax implications of key business decisionsDesign and implement Jobber’s global transfer pricing regimeTo be successful, you should have:5+ years of working experience in income and indirect tax in both industry and/or tax advisory positions, with a strong knowledge of tax planning, tax compliance and preparation of tax provisions and returns.Completed the CPA Canada In Depth Tax ProgramCA/CPA designationExperience with US GAAPExperience with US income and indirect taxIt would be really great (but not a deal-breaker) if you had:Experience working for a software companyExperience working for a publicly traded companyExperience with 1099k filing requirements
