Our Ontario EDO (Engineering Design Organization) is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to take on the role of Senior Structural Engineer to support our process-driven facilities projects. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, and contribute to and be responsible for all structural engineering aspects of multi-discipline projects in various markets and businesses. With a strong diverse background in structural design and delivery of Water/Wastewater Treatment, Linear Water, Water resources, Organics Processing, Bulk Storage and Warehouses, Waste Transfer, Renewable Natural Gas, Environmental, Transportation, and Property and Buildings.In a constantly evolving world, it requires creativity and innovation to stay ahead. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer in OntarioMinimum 10-15 years of diverse structural engineering experience with a focus on facility design-type projectsExcellent understanding of structural systems and practical design experience in designing process-driven facilities, water/earth retaining structures, pre-engineered buildings and their foundations, and shallow and deep foundation systems, to name a few.Conversant with the National Building Code of Canada - NBCC and provincial building codes, CSA codes for the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.Ability to develop designs to comply with project-specific output specificationsAbility to take ownership and accountability for completed workStrong influencing skills and the ability to develop effective and trustworthy relationships both with project teams and within the organizationStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong computer skills including experience in structural analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, ETABS, S-FRAME and ROBOT, and MS OfficeStrong organizational and interpersonal skills with a positive attitudeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe following skills would be considered an asset for this position:Project management skills and budget and schedule controlsKnowledge of BIM 360 and REVITAs a diverse and inclusive organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
