We aim to have multi-faceted employees with versatile skills.Job Opening: Senior Structural Engineer GEMTEC is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in the Moncton office, with the option to work in other locations such as Ottawa ON, Fredericton NB, Halifax NS, or Barrie ON. As part of the Structural group, you will work on concrete, steel, and wood civil infrastructure projects in a collaborative project team setting. Reporting to the Senior Department Manager/Structural Division Manager in Moncton, you will be responsible for developing cost-effective engineering designs and construction solutions for clients. This role requires strong technical design, communication, and organizational skills, offering excellent opportunities for career growth within the company.Key Responsibilities:Provide engineering designs for civil infrastructure projects (buildings, ports, harbors, and bridges).Manage projects, including scheduling and financial performance.Write, compile, and review technical reports.Prepare project proposals.Participate in site visits and gather information to support design activities.Maintain project quality and implement improvements as needed.Prepare regular project summary reports.Promote growth within the group and enhance the company's knowledge base.Collaborate with diverse teams of various disciplines.Qualifications and Experience: Qualifications:Preferably currently registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from an accredited University.+10 years of experience in civil engineering consulting.Hands-on experience with design software such as SAFI, Structure Point, WoodWorks, Microsoft Office is an asset.Proven project management skills.Position:Full TimeAdditional Requirements:Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required.Valid driver’s license.Thank you for considering GEMTEC.
