We are growing our Autodesk Fusion Manufacturing Data Model (MFGDM) team in Canada, and looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team.MFGDM is the foundation of Manufacturing Cloud and core to Data Framework to build manufacturing data model and cloud services to shift from traditional monolithic file to granular data and then to enable concurrency, integration, automation and collaboration throughout the entire product lifecycle with granular data, making it possible to empowercustomersto design and make better products faster.
The team we are growing in Canada will focus on building fundamental data extraction pipeline in MFGDM, defining the data model and building related services to extract valuable data assets and establish data centricity, hence enabling product team using the granulated data to fulfill critical customer workflows, building insights from the data, and releasing full values buried in files. The team will develop, deploy, maintain and support data extraction solutions & services. The team need collaborate with other MFGDM teams in Canada and with extended teams cross GEOs. Now, we are an autonomic, T-shape, and energetic group. The whole team effort is an essential part for achieving corporate data strategy and winning the race to the next gen Design & Manufacturing Platform. Autodesk supports FLEX working model, while Toronto or Montreal is preferred to co-locate with existing MFGDM teams.
Responsibilities
Work within a scrum team with about 6 -7 engineers
Work withP roduct O wner and T ech L eads to build and align on acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality deliver y of our projects/ service s
Collaborate with other Quality Engineers and Q uality C hampions across the organization to driveeffectiveness and consistenc y
Develop test strategy, apply right test methodologies and per form hands-on validation for timely delivery of projects with high quality
Observe and i dentify gaps and risks throughout development cycle from quality perspective, leverage analytics to quantify the gaps/risks and come up with solutions to address the gaps/ risks
Thoroughly u nderstand the value we are delivering to our customers with our projects and develop test plans based on the targeted workflows by collaborating with Experience Design and Product Management teams
Communicate with stakeholders and teams about test strategies, test planning, status and risks
Communicate with2 nd party (internal) 3 rd part y (external ) teams that are building on MFGDM to understand issues related to quality anditerate on test planning
Understand and enhance the existing automation framework and tools
Drivebest practice s for quality within the team and promote proven best practice s outside the team
Minimum Qualifications
BS or higher in C omputer S cience or related technical discipline
5 + years of S oftware D evelopment/ A utomation D evelopment/ Te stingexperience in commercialized products or enterprise - level systems(prefer ably in Cloud Services)
Strong sense ofownershipand competent atdriving alignment
Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changes in priorities/direction and work with teams that are globally distributed
Excellent communicationand presentationskills
Great problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
E xperience with Cloud services or Web D evelopment and T esting
Solid e xperience in Webautomationtools/testing framework
Solid skills inJavaScript/ T ype S cript/Python
Familiar ity with AWS services
Experience /understanding Agile methodologies
Experience with C++
Experience with data analytics
