The ideal candidate thrives in an agile environment, thinks outside the box, and is passionate about developing high-performing, high-quality maintainable code.Key Responsibilities:Create and manage complex databases using MS SQL Server.Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to define software requirements and specifications.Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications to ensure high performance and responsiveness.Participate in architectural design and contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our software solutions remain competitive.QualificationsFormalized education in Computer Science or another Information Technology based program.Strong understanding of web development concepts, including MVC architecture, RESTful services, and client-server architecture.Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).Knowledge of agile development methodologies and practices.Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Experience with TypeScript is an asset.#LI-MB1Additional InformationFor over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry by delivering value to our clients through expertise and scale.
