Job Description

The Senior Social Media Manager leads Workleap social media strategy and execution. This role sits in the Brand team and oversees our social media channels, ensuring that content is created, planned for publication and posted while always aligning with business goals, marketing initiatives, and resonates with our audience. As a key member of the brand team, the senior social media manager collaborates closely with our content, demand generation, PR, corporate communication, and overall marketing teams. In the spirit of fostering strong communities around our brand and products, the social media manager is also expected to support the event team periodically.

So, what will your new role look like?

Strategic planning

  • Craft and execute social media strategies that align with our marketing objectives, emphasizing awareness (reach) and customer engagement.
  • Implement content scheduling and calendars to coordinate various marketing teams’ output. (demand gen, brand, content, Customer marketing).
  • With the digital strategist, identify and prioritize social media platforms that best reach our target business audiences and decision makers.
  • With the brand manager, lead a monthly audit of competitors social media use and behaviour.

Production and posting

  • Oversee the creation and curation of compelling content tailored for our audience, ensuring consistency with our brand voice and ongoing marketing push.
  • Is responsible for writing captions and publishing the content on our various platform.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team, promoting testing of new social media practices and technologies.
  • In collaboration with community managers, customer marketing and customer success, act as the voice of the company to answer comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.

Performance and optimization

  • Report on content and platform performance.
  • Regularly review and optimize content and formats based on performance metrics (engagement, reach, and conversion rates), audience feedback and best practices to ensure relevance and impact.
  • In collaboration with the brand manager, ensure all social media content is on-brand, engaging, and relevant to the target audience.

What does your future team look like?

You will join the brand team, which also shares responsibility for top of funnel marketing. The team encompasses a multitude of expertise: strategy, branding, digital marketing, art direction, design, copywriting, content, social media management, and events. The team ensures that the Workleap’s brand foundations are solid and that our initiatives position us advantageously in highly competitive markets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in social media;
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills;
  • Social media strategy and content management expertise;
  • Competitive analysis experience;
  • Strong writing proficiency in French and in English;
  • Content performance management skills;
  • Knowledge of social media best practices and interest to innovate;
  • Ability to engage and respond to the audience;
  • Alignment of content with brand voice;
  • Expertise in event is a plus;
  • Familiarity with the HR and IT industry is a plus.
