Senior Sap Abap Technical Consultant To Lead And Develop End To End Technical Projects From Ecc Job In Ottawa

Our valued client is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant to lead and develop end-to-end technical projects from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, a permanent position. Fully on-site (first 3 months) followed by a hybrid work schedule (3 days per week on site) in Ottawa, ON.

Responsibilities:

1. Apply technical knowledge to develop / ensure that the developed solution performs efficiently and that customers are satisfied with the developed solution.
2. Works with customers and functional staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
3. Provides technical guidance to offshore development team.
4. Evaluates and recommends changes to development standards. Evaluates and recommends changes to established methods to achieve departmental / BU objectives.
5. Provides technical consulting on complex projects.
6. Adhere to processes within the Business System environment to ensure sustainable compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
7. Lead and develop end-to-end technical projects from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, focusing on Fiori, OData, and ABAP technologies, ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and delivery within defined timelines and budget constraints.
8. Collaborate closely with stakeholders and technical teams, understanding business requirements, and translating them into effective technical strategies, particularly in Fiori, OData, and ABAP integration.
9. Develop and implement business solutions, technical methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, with a specialized emphasis on Fiori, OData v4, and ABAP integration.
10. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to technical team members, ensuring effective teamwork and knowledge transfer, especially in Fiori, OData, and ABAP integration to help ensure successful project delivery.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges during the project, focusing on seamless Fiori, OData, and ABAP integration, ensuring optimal user experience and system functionality post-implementation.
12. Oversee risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring a smooth technical project with minimal disruptions to business operations.
13. Establish and maintain effective communication channels to provide regular updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Must Have Skills:

1. 7+ years experience as an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with SAP implementation lifecycle projects
2. Experience with SAP UI5 and XML
3. Experience developing and enhancing ABAP reports, SAP queries, and function modules

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience in the defense industry
