Job Description

The Senior Revenue Analyst, reporting directly to the Revenue Assurance Manager, is a critical role responsible for the accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in accordance with IFRS and company policies. This position involves close collaboration with multiple departments, including sales and sales operations, to analyze contracts, ensure accurate revenue recognition, and support comprehensive financial reporting activities.

Responsibilities Include:

• Analyzing sales contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
• Reviewing customer invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Working closely with sales and sales operations teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Calculating commissions earned by sales representatives based on predetermined commission structures and performance metrics, and recording commission expenses in the accounting system.
• Reconciling revenue-related accounts, such as deferred revenue and commissions, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assisting in the preparation of revenue-related financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Providing support for external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and enhance controls.
• Implementing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in revenue recognition and reporting.

What We Look for in You:

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue accounting or a related role.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition (IFRS 15 or ASC 606).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Experience in the SaaS industry
