Job Description

Senior Regulatory SpecialistThe role of the Senior Regulatory Specialist is to provide leadership and mentorship for the permitting of pipeline and facilities for construction, maintenance, and improvement projects. The Senior Regulatory Specialist is responsible for reviewing applications, amendments and compiling audit documentation in order to meet or exceed all regulatory requirements while ensuring these deliverables satisfy project deadlines. As a Senior Regulatory Specialist, you will liaise with internal staff and various departments and government bodies within Western Canada.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Mentor the Regulatory Technician(s) in the submission of accurate and timely applications for new construction of facilities and pipelinesMentor the Regulatory Technician(s) in the submission of accurate and timely amendments for existing facilities and pipelinesComplete senior review of public notification lettersComplete senior review of audit documentation for all permit applicationsPrepare applications, amendments, public notification documents and audit files when requiredLiaise with clients, engineers, project managers and internal personnelLiaise with Government Regulatory agenciesMUST HAVE Qualifications: Environmental or Oil & Gas related post secondaryEffective interpersonal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with a strong ability to adhere to deadlines and regulatory requirementsExcellent communication (oral and written)Proficient in computer applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF Writer, ChromeDemonstrated ability to work collaborativelyHigh degree of initiative, self-motivation, and adaptability5+ years’ experience with AER Directive 056 and/or BC-ER OGAA permitting and/or Saskatchewan Pipeline and Facility Permitting5+ years’ experience working with regulatory requirements in Alberta and/or BC and/or SaskatchewanUnderstanding of governmental infrastructure and processes in relation energy developmentStrong working knowledge of the AER’s One Stop and DDS system and/or BC-ER AMS and KERMIT and/or Saskatchewan IRISNICE to HAVE Qualifications: Experience using electronic document management softwareExperience using AbadataAir Dispersion Modelling capabilities utilizing AERFlare-incin, AERSCREEN or AERMODSpecial consideration will be given to those with experience and are familiar with regulations for pipelines and both small/large facilities in British Columbia (BCER).APPLICATIONSAll interested parties please submit resumes and cover letters to info@crimsonreg.comWe thank all applicants for their interest in our position at Crimson Regulatory, however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Company eventsDental careExtended health careLife insurancePaid time offWork from homeFlexible Language Requirement:French not requiredSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
