Your role:As a Senior React Developer, you are an experienced developer who will drive technical direction across multiple teams. You will own the technical direction for delivering highly scalable distributed services and applications. You will act as the anchor for building up the teams technical competencies.We’re building teams and a culture that respects the craft of software engineering, applying our expertise to problems that really matter. We are looking to bring someone in as a Senior React Developer who we can and wants to grow into the Staff Developer role.If you want to solve complex problems that make clear and real-world impact in people’s lives, join us!Your job:Work with multiple teams of talented engineers who like to ship code and tackle hard engineering problemsBe a hands-on technical leader who will spend up to 40% of your time managing senior stakeholders and helping find solutions that work for the wider department and 60% of your time in design reviews, sprint planning and other Agile artifactsPartner with peers across Engineering, Product Management, and Design to drive delivery of cross-functional projects and address technical and resourcing challenges in the organisationMentor and guide the professional and technical development of those in the Frontend Teams; helping develop their skill levels and technical abilitiesWork to support a company culture that is collaborative, inclusive, and respectful of each otherProvide continuous feedback, and technical guidance, for your peers and other developersInstill a spirit of continuous improvement in the team’s code, architecture, and processesIn collaboration with Product Mangers, Test Managers, and your Engineers, maintain a prioritized backlog ensuring the backlog is arranged to help maximise deliveryHelp your team build relationships across functions such as Support, Operations, Test, and other teams to ensure Global Relay’s continuing successAppreciate and advocate for information security and secure coding practicesAbout you:A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience10+ years of software development experience; shipping enterprise grade software, using multiple languages and frameworksMotivation to grow and build on the Senior React Developer role, going above and beyond to become a Staff DeveloperExtensive experience in stakeholder management, and experience finding pragmatic solitons that help design and development maximise deliveryExperience building and managing large, highly scalable distributed services, complex databases, microservices, and API’s in service and resource-oriented architecturesExperience with complex databases and managing data quality and lifecycle issuesUnderstanding of modern frameworks and techniques for building web application user interfacesLead a team of talented Frontend Engineers who like to ship code and tackle hard engineering problemsWork hand in hand with UI/UX to ensure the design vision is deliveredExperience with any of the following is a requirement:
