Opportunity Summary

We are looking for a strategic pursuit specialist- an excellent communicator, marketer, and writer to grow our business nationally. Reporting to the Business Development Director, we are looking for a team player who can lead a pursuit process, communicate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and execute with detail-oriented precision. This role has the potential to grow as our organization does, with the potential to support other businesses within our portfolio of companies for the right individual. Key Responsibilities

Write creative, compelling, and winning proposals (RFQ/RFPs) and presentations that set us apart. Manage the proposal process: Developing win strategy, leading proposal kickoff meetings, tailoring proposal content to each pursuit, setting timelines for proposal development, review, and submission. Improve quality of proposals: seeking continual improvement in our look, writing tone, win themes and strategy development. Manage/organize database of project information for use in pursuit efforts, including project profiles, images, resumes, boilerplate content, etc. Seek and track opportunities for new business: monitoring bid sites and preparing opportunity summaries to allow for strategic decision making. Manage/update CRM and Proposal Tracker, participating in weekly business development strategy meetings. Mentor/support other marketing team members, training new team members as our team grows. On a continual basis with yearly goals, improve our proposal processes, templates, and systems. Supportive Responsibilities

Build collaborative relationships between our leadership team, internal business groups and external stakeholders. Support business development efforts through researching prospective clients and sharing relevant industry news/trends. In collaboration with stakeholders, develop, track, and execute annual marketing plan and budget. Marketing: Update our website and create LinkedIn content. Create corporate and promotional materials: ads, brochures, presentations etc. Events: Organize client/sponsorship events, conferences, etc. Also attend events to gain industry knowledge and raise the profile of Scott Construction in the industry. A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience working in a marketing and business development capacity within a construction, engineering, or architectural services industry preferred with a proposal driven role in another industry considered. Strong technical and business writing skills. Exceptional organization, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail. Understanding of strategic proposal development processes. Ability to manage, balance & support multiple projects, project teams and stakeholders simultaneously.
