Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Project Manager with experience working on projects in the justice sector and projects that involve establishing new customer service practices or expanding a current customer service practice to new locations. Experience in mobilizing workforces (20-30 people), change management, and operationalizing service areas would be helpful.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects.

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria in collaboration with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans using appropriate tools, such as Microsoft Project.

• Manage project resources, budget, schedule, quality, risk, issues, and changes using best practices and standards.

• Ensure projects adhere to corporate standards and policy requirements.

• Communicate project status, progress, issues, and risks to project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members regularly.

• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, workshops, reviews, and presentations.

• Ensure project deliverables meet the requirements and expectations of the project sponsors and stakeholders.

• Conduct project closure activities, such as lessons learned, documentation, handover, etc.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager with strong documentation and presentation skills

• At least 1 non-IT project that is focused on establishing a new customer service practice, ideally involving mobilizing workforces of 20-30 people

• Business analysis, communications and change management skills – able to demonstrate at least 1 project where they used each of these skills

Desired qualifications:

• Strong understanding of/experience in creating services that are directed at low income and First Nations communities

• Experience working with lawyers, paralegals, or justice system

Hourly rate: $110 per hour.
